Petrovac, Montenegro (24 September 2016) — Deputy Prime Minister Azra Jasavić attended the celebration of the 70th anniversary since the arrival of the Franciscan Sisters form Slovenia to Montenegro, as well as 50 years of their humanitarian work in Petrovac. On this occasion, DPM Jasavić congratulated the Jubilee on her behalf and on behalf of the Government of Montenegro. This association counts 130 sisters from the region that work in the health institutions of Montenegro.

„Being committed to the people, their needs, taking care of them, easing their suffer and pain, solving their problems, selflessly giving the best part of themselves, means to be committed to universal values that unify us in a unique ethical vertical of all the civilization circles. The Sisters of the Franciscan Order do precisely that since the first day of the arrival to Montenegro and Petrovac. These 130 sisters represent the string of pearls that adorn multi-ethnic Montenegro. They are the light of our world and so are our strength,“ Jasavić said.

„Being ready to devote their lives to the noble objectives, reconciled with themselves and the world around them, being ready to, by serving God and the people, do as much on their own spiritual ascent, making the world better, the Sisters of the Franciscan Order deserve special respect of each rational citizen of Montenegro,“ Jasavić noted.
