Belgrade, Serbia (3 February 2017) – During Prime Minister Duško Marković’s official visit to Serbia, Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulić, Minister of Tourism and Sustainable Development Pavle Radulović, Minister of Eduction Damir Šehović and Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Osman Nurković met with their Serbian counterparts for talks on boosting bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting particularly emphasised the need for strengthening cooperation in energy and infrastructure and voiced commitment of the both sides to improve collaboration in education. In that regard, Montenegrin Minister of Education Damir Šehović and Serbian Minister of Education, Science and Technology Development Mladen Šarčević signed an agreement on cooperation in this field.

When it comes to tourism, the two ministers noted the importance of increasing the number of tourists in the both countries, voicing belief that a good model of cooperation in this area should be the joint engagement at trade fairs throughout the world.

Prime Minister Duško Marković and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vučić fully supported ministers’ efforts aimed at strengthening ties between Montenegro and Serbia. Therefore, they reached an agreement upon holding a joint cabinet session related to the cooperation in the concrete projects.
