Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration press release regarding the events in Libya

Regarding the current events taking place in Libya, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration has had official communication with the Embassy of Serbia in Tripoli, which represents Montenegro’s consular interests in the country.

The Embassy has not come to any information that would point out that Montenegrin citizens have been injured or killed in the most recent clashes in Libya, and no citizens of Montenegrin have sought help from the Embassy.

Regardless of the fact that the situation has been calmer in the past few days and the clashes are taking place mainly at the periphery, the Ministry recommends Montenegrin citizens to leave Libya and refrain from travelling to the country.
