Podgorica, Montenegro (18 January 2016) — Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted earlier today newly appointed Ambassador of South Korea in Montenegro Lee Do-hoon.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations, which both sides described as good, adding there is room for improvements, especially in the field of economic cooperation, taking into account the investment potentials of Montenegro in infrastructure, energy and tourism.
“We are interested in co-operating with the Korean Business Centre in promoting bilateral cooperation in these and other areas,” Prime Minister Đukanović noted, stressing the significance of the normative and legal base consolidation for enhancing economic cooperation.
Ambassador Lee Do-hoon welcomed Montenegro’s progress, hopeful that the exchange of visits at different levels contributes to boosting bilateral cooperation in line with mutual expectations. He also voiced willingness to offer expert support for the transfer of know-how.
In the context of marking the tenth anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, the Ambassador announced a series of activities, which, as he pointed out, will further promote friendship between Montenegro and South Corea.
