    Prime Minister Duško Marković congratulated the citizens of Plav, on behalf of the Government and in his own name, the Municipality Day.

    “It is a great pleasure for me to welcome this year’s holiday in the environment of economic progress, when after the last year’s growth rate, which was one of the largest in Europe, we register the continuation of the trend of economic growth at a rate of 4.5% in the first quarter of this year. All this would not have been possible if there had not been a strong contribution of the minority nations to numerous political and development achievements of Montenegro,” PM Marković said in his congratulatory message to President of the Municipality of Plav Orhan Šahmanović.

    The Prime Minister said that Plav cherishes a tradition of a multinational harmony as an inseparable part of the state identity, noting that the Government is firmly committed to developing North and Plav, building modern roads, energy and tourism capacities, promoting agriculture and food production as a prerequisite of a higher standard of living.

    “I am convinced that natural preconditions and development potentials, as well as partnership between the Government and the local self-government, will contribute to Plav to be more developed and wealthier place for its citizens to live and work in it,” Prime Minister Duško Marković’s congratulatory message reads.
