Podgorica, Montenegro (6 January 2018) — Prime Minister Duško Marković wished a happy Christmas to all the citizens who celebrate the great Christian holiday according to the Julian calendar.

“Christmas is an opportunity to turn to each other with more care, forgiving and doing good deeds, thus contributing to mutual understanding,” the Prime Minister notes in his greeting letter.

He said that he believes that through the points that connect us, we truly contribute to faith in people, and therefore to justice and charity as universal values.

“I want the upcoming holidays to encourage us to promote the values the Orthodox believers, as well as every benevolent citizen of our country regardless of faith, believe in, because there is a huge social potential in the spiritual being of Montenegro. On behalf of the Government of Montenegro and on my own behalf, I wish the citizens who celebrate the great holiday according to the Julian calendar, to celebrate Christmas with their families, friends and neighbours, with the power of communion and justice as the virtues of the Montenegrin society,” the Prime Minister Marković’s Christmas greeting letter reads.
