Podgorica, Montenegro (11 January 2018) — Press conference following 57th Cabinet session was held today, 11 January 2018, at the Press Centre of the Government.
Minister without Portfolio Marija Vučinović informed the public about the information that in order to repair damage caused by the recent earthquake, the Government adopted at today’s Cabinet session a Proposal for granting financial assistance to local governments, pointing out that it is an ambulance, and that the funds will be intended for the most vulnerable families in the Northern region.
According to the Minister of Public Administration Suzana Pribilović, the Strategy for improving the incentive environment for NGO activities, adopted by the Government at today’s session, represents an important aspect in the creation and implementation of public projects of the Government of Montenegro. By its adoption, a strategic and informative framework for the functioning of NGOs is being completed. The Strategy is the result of a two-year work of the cross-sectoral working group, composed of representatives of relevant state bodies and NGO sector.
At today’s session, the Government also adopted the Information and accepted the Financing Agreement between Montenegro and the European Commission on the Annual Action Document for Montenegro, which implies direct budget EU support in the area of public administration reform, Secretary of the Ministry of European Affairs Miodrag Radović said in a press release after the session, adding that this is a financial support in the amount of EUR 15 million.
