Prime Minister Duško Marković congratulated on behalf of the Government and his own – Day of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, as a day of the country’s protectors, defenders of its independence and every citizen.
“As this date will forever remind us of Tuđemilska battle fought a millennium ago, the following 2017 will be remembered as a year of Montenegro’s membership in NATO, which will for the first time in our history preserve the state’s independence, peace and security. This year’s celebration cherishes in its essence a very unique symbolism, and you as soldiers of the Montenegrin Army were the first one to open the door of the Alliance for your country. With a strong sense of belonging to a whole new system of values, engagement in the international peacekeeping missions and operations and introduction of modern standards, Montenegrin soldiers are standing side by side with the most organised military systems of this era,” PM Marković highlighted in his congratulation letter to soldiers, officers and employees in the Army of Montenegro.
PM Marković also stressed that Montenegrin Army was always on the side of the freedom throughout the history, adding that the Army was always ready to defend a homeland and peace as a leading idea embedded in the Montenegrin soldier.
“Your commitment deserves respect and your loyalty to the country and your people is something your senior officials, your families and every citizen should be proud of,” PM Marković pointed out in his congratulation letter.
PM Marković concluded his congratulation letter with the following words:
“I congratulate you on the Day of the Armed Forces of Montenegro and wish you success in the future.”
“May Montenegro be eternal!”
