    PR ServicePodgorica, Montenegro (2 June 2016) — Representatives of the Government of Montenegro met earlier today with experts from Google for talks on the possibilities of cooperation in the sphere of use of digital tools and services with a view to advancing productivity of public authorities and promotion of government policies and Montenegro’s tourism offer.

    The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Information Society and Telecommunications Vujica Lazović, Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Branimir Gvozdenović, Director of the National Tourism Organisation Željka Radak-Kukavičić, Director-General for Information Society Promotion Ivica Ivanović, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Head of the Public Relations Service Srđan Kusovac and representatives of Google for the Adriatic region.

    Representatives of the Government of Montenegro presented activities towards promoting Montenegro’s tourism offer, 3D mapping and digital services and tools. Representatives of Google presented the possibilities for cooperation in the field of branding and improvement of tourism offer of Montenegro and its visibility on the Internet, as well as tools and services that can contribute to boosting the Government ‘s performance in these areas.

    Both sides voiced willingness to establish cooperation, recognising the opportunities in various fields. It was agreed to continue communication at the operational level towards drafting the future steps of cooperation.

    DPM Lazović took the opportunity to invite the representatives of Google to visit the Infofest 2016, which is traditionally held in Budva. The plan is to establish concrete cooperation by September and sign a formal cooperation framework.
