The Ministry of European Affairs (MEP) has invited interested parties to prepare proposals for the second call of the Mediterranean cooperation program 2014-2020 which is open until March 31, under which 11 million euros is allocated for the IPA countries.
Minister of European Affairs, Aleksandar Andrija Pejovic has said that the new transnational cooperation program Interreg Mediterranean cooperation program 2014-2020 is co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund and the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), and represents a continuation of the successful cooperation from the previous perspectives.
Pejovic said that this program in a new perspective comprises 57 regions situated in ten different countries of the European Union (EU) and the three beneficiary countries IPE, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
“The total seven-year budget program for the EU country is 264.9 million euros, while the IPA Countries have available 11 million euros”, Pejovic explained.
He added that the ultimate goal of the new program is the contribution to long-term development of the Mediterranean and strengthening transnational cooperation between regions and countries involved.
