68 percent of Pljevlja citizens support the Second block: Hoping for new jobs and toplification

Research of public opinion on constructuon of the Second block of the Thermal power plant in Pljevlja done by Center for monitoring and research (CEMI) showed that almost 68 percent of citizens of Pljevlja support this project. Percentage of opponents is three times lower (21.3 percent) while every ninth citizens has no opinion, it was reported by Dnevne newspaper.

By construction of the second block, citizens of Pljevlja are expecting higher employment rate but also the promised toplification of the city.

“Municipality of Pljevlja has a relatively high unemployment rate, and in accordance with the biggest expectation by the citizens from the new block are new job openings. Besides this, citizens expect toplification of the city and improvement of ecological situation”, it was explained from CEMI.

“We could say that there’s practicaly a consensus that companies in Pljevlja don’t invest enough in the development of the community, and only 6.5 percent think that they do. When asked what should companies invest into via socially responsibility citizens mostly chose healthcare system (68 percent), education (50 percent), ecology (46.5 percent), culture and art (41.1 percent)”, it was emphasized from CEMI.

Citizens satisfied by service quality

As it was explained from CEMI, satisfaction by the quality of the service by Electric power company of Montenegro (EPCG) remained at the same high level compared to July of last year, and slightly increased compared to November of 2014.

“Citizens are today satisfied by the quality of service at reception offices, internet page, clarity and simplicity of the bills, reliability and general communication that they have with EPCG”, it was said from CEMI.
