The hearing in the High Court in Podgorica regarding the investigation and evaluation of the legality of the indictment for plotting terrorist attacks on the day of parliamentary elections last year, was postponed.
The hearing was adjourned upon the request of the defendants.
Defense Counsel Milan Markovic explained that they asked to be given adequate time to prepare the defense or to get acquainted with all the materials, since the material is in 26 registers.
This, he said, was unique defense request, considering that today they should have challenged certain evidence and to present new evidence or propose evidences that are in favor of their clients.
“As there was no objective possibility to do that and as the best interest of justice would have been jeopardized if the hearing was held today, the court complied with our request and adjourned it for 24 May,” said Mrakovic after the hearing.
