Adaptation of the Emergency Block of the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) will begin on February 2nd, according to the management of KCCG.
Director of the Clinical Center of Montenegro Milan Mijovic said that it was planned for works on adapting the new premises of the Emergency block to last from two to three months, with funds in the amount of 700,000 euros provided by Turkey Agency for International Development and Coordination (TIKA).
“There was a tender procedure and these days we expect official information from government agencies on who will be the contractor. We got the announcement that works on the adaptation of Emergency block are starting on February 2nd. The adaptation period will last between 60 and 90 days. During the adaptation of the Emergency block, activities of emergency unit will be transferred to the premises of the KCCG Polyclinic”, said Mijovic.
Protocol on Cooperation for realization of the adaptation project of the Emergency block was signed by Mustafa Jazici, the Director of TIKA for Montenegro, Kenan Hrapovic, director of the Health Insurance Fund, and Milan Mijovic, Director of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, at the end of October 2014.
According to the contract, in addition to the adaptation of the Emergency block, a new medical equipment for the Emergency Department will be provided. Director of KCCG Milan Mijovic expects working conditions to be much better after the adaptation of the Emergency block.
“About 75,000 patients went through the Emergency unit in the last two years. When renovation of the Emergency block is completed, we will have a totally new segment of health care”, said Mijovic.
