Visit of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to Montenegro is strong certificate of good neighborly relations of the two countries, Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovic said.

With the highest state honors Rama was welcomed to Podgorica by Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovic.

At a joint press conference after the meeting, Marković said that the governments of the two countries will work on improving cooperation. He also announced the joint session of the two governments in Shkodra, which is planned for October.

Prime Minister Marković thanked Albania for its support when it comes to Euro-Atlantic path of Montenegro.

He said that Montenegro and Albania should strengthen economic and foreign trade cooperation. Markovic believes that there is space for cooperation in the sectors of energy, transport and tourism.

“We concluded that Albanian national parties have a very good cooperation with our gorenment’’, Markovic said.

Albanian Prime Minister Rama said that the announced joint session of the governments of the two countries represents a new cycle of relations between Montenegro and Albania.
