The Parliament of Montenegro stated at today’s session that the mandate of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Igor Luksic, has ceased.
Previously, Mr. Lukšić requested that the Assembly, at the beginning of today’s session dedicated to the Prime Minister’s hour, acknowledges the termination of his mandate on these functions.
“We have received Mr. Luksic’s resignation. I thank him for his many years of service. I wish him luck in the campaign for the UN Secretary-General, and we hope together that this can be another international success of Montenegro. I hereby state that his functions as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs have ceased”, said the Speaker of the Parliament, Ranko Krivokapic.
In a letter to the Secretary General of Parliament, Sinisa Stankovic, Mr. Luksic thanked the Parliament for cooperation in the last 15 years, during which time he performed various responsible government positions.
