Biggest names of world jazz on Sveti Stefan

By concert of some of the biggest names of world jazz scene at the entrance in Sveti Stefan, tonight at 9pm the first Made in New York Jazz Festival will start within which another concert will be organized on Sunday, the 5th of June, at the plateau of Atlas Capital Center in Podgorica.

The audience will have a chance to enjoy the repertoire made of standard jazz, as well as regular instrumental and vocal improvisations. At the concert in Sveti Stefan performers will be Randy Brecker – trumpet, Yaacov Mayman – tenor saxophone, Essiet Okon Essiet – double bass, Edsel Gomez – piano, solo vocals: George Johnson Junior and Anita Vitale, then Leonid Vintskevich – piano and Nick Vintskevich – soprano/alto saxophone, as well as Bobby Sanabria – drums and percussions. As guests, some local musicians will join them too: Vladimir Maras – piano, Milorad Sule Jovovic – guitar and Micko Wes Perunicic – guitar, as well as famous jazz performers from the region: Ljubisa Paunic – saxophone/flute, Vladimir Krnetic – trumpet/flugelhorn, Ivan Aleksijevic – piano (Big band RTS) and many others.

The concert is organized only a few weeks after a jazz festival has happened in New York’s Tribeca Performing Arts center, at which the aforementioned musicians performed.

The first Made in New York Jazz festival is organized by Montenegrin publishing house Rabbit Records in cooperation with Made in New York Competition and Festival INC from New York.
