The Dictionary of Montenegrin National and Literary Language is the capital work of the Montenegrin culture, and Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (CANU) will do all for it to become the property of every citizen of Montenegro. CANU admits that there are certain mistakes crept in the dictionary, as well as ambiguous explanations, adding that the issue will be discussed and corrected. The academy invites all interested parties to send their suggestions and comments.
The council for drafting the dictionary has only received a complaint from an Abanian MP who has been sent a response and a statement from the Queer Montenegro organisation, which is under consideration.
“There are certain mistakes and ambiguous explanations crept in the dictionary that will certainly be discussed and corrected. The council and the team of authors have explained in their previous responses how certain inaccuracies and ambiguities in explanations of certain terms occurred. They also offer the scientific arguments against objections on the linguistic part of the dictionary”, CANU said.
In order to remove any possible ambiguities and inaccuracies, the council invites all interested parties to submit comments and suggestions on the contents of the dictionary.
