By the first charter flight on relation Tel Aviv-Tivat, 168 Israeli tourists came to Montenegro today which will spend vacation in hotels at Montenegrin coast.
Official welcome for Airbus A-320 of Israeli company Israir Airlines and its passengers was organized by representatives of Tivat Airport, National touristic organization (NTO), ministries of sustainable development and tourism and foreign affairs and Touristic organization of Tivat, it was reported by Boka news.
Honorary consul of Montenegro in Israel Nimrod Rinot, who was amongst the passengers on the first flight from Tel Aviv, said that he’s sure that Israeli tourists will enjoy in Montenegro.
“They didn’t know much about Montenegro, but Montenegrin government started a campaign together with company Israir to show them all that Montenegro has to offer. I am sure that this will be a very successful destination for Israeli tourists”, said Nimrod to journalists at the airport.
Israir Ailines will have total of 49 rotations between Tel Aviv and Tivat until the end of October. It is expected to bring around ten thousand Israeli tourists in this period.
“Most of the people who come are older people who have finished their working life and now look for ways to spend the money they saved. Among them were guests who will have tours all over Montenegro and visit landmarks, but also people who are so called ‘leisure’ guests who came to see the destination and discover what they’ll like”, said Marko Petricevic, general director of the Directorate for management by touristic destinations in Ministry of sustainable development and tourism.
Airbuses A-320 of the company Israir will fly from Tel Aviv to Tivat once a week, every Wednesday until the end of October, and one weekly flight from Tel Aviv to Podgorica will start being available on 25th of May.
