Cooperation of China with city management of Cetinje is very successful, and it’s very important that realized donations are giving fast results, so the fruitful relations will be continued, it was stated during yesterday’s meeting between the mayor of Cetinje Aleksandar Bogdanovic and delegation from China, which is currently on an official visit to Montenegro.
As it was announced from the office of municipality of Cetinje, during the meeting which was attended by director of the Executive bureau for international economic cooperation within Ministry of trade Jiang Ling and deputy of the general director of the Executive bureau for international economic cooperation Ai Jinfang, previous and future cooperation were mostly discussed topics.
While speaking about rich cooperation between two countries, Bogdanovic emphasized that city of Cetinje had very successful relationship with Chinese intitutions in previous period, and reminded of the project of new solar public lighting system that was installed in most city areas, which was realized specifically from China’s donation worth 2.2 million euros.
“Thanks to this project, Cetinje has made another step towards implementation of measures for energy efficiency, something we’ve been devoted to since 2011. and that’s already giving results”, he emphasized.
Bogdanovic suggested a possibility for continuation of cooperation through realization of the project of reconstruction of Cetinje’s parks, and it was said that China will consider future projects that could be realized with mutual efforts.
Guests agreed that cooperation with Cetinje’s authorities has been very successful, and emphasized that their donations already gave results in case of public lighting system, which contributed to significant savings in energy consumption.
While in Cetinje, representatives of China’s government visited Boulevard of Montenegrin heroes, and also considered the project for its horticultural restoration and arrangement.
