Darko Pajović officially a candidate for the President of Parliament

Positive Montenegro presented today to the Vice President of the Assembly, Milutin Simovic, their candidate for the speaker of parliament – party leader Darko Pajović. Pajović’s candidacy was signed by 13 MPs.

Alongside Pajovic, presidency of the party has nominated Azra Jasavić for Deputy Prime Minister.

Election of the new President of the Parliament, after the dismissal of Ranko Krivokapic who held this function for 13 years, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister, should happen in the Assembly on June 1.

Darko Pajović was born in 1972 in Podgorica.

He graduated from the Faculty of Science, Department of Biology, University of Montenegro. Professional training in the field of in vitro fertilization (human reproduction) he performed at the University Clinical Center in Maribor, Slovenia. He is a graduate biologist-embryologist.

He started working as a biology teacher in the gymnasium Petar I Petrović Njegoš in Danilovgrad. Today he works as an embryologist in a medical institution for IVF, Life. He is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology since 2004.

His social engagement started in the civil sector. He is the founder and longtime director of the NGO Green Home. During the twelve-year experience in the civil sector, he was a member of the National Council for Sustainable Development, the Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO, member of the socio-economic and environmental policies of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), etc.

He professionally studied in several European countries (Norway, Austria, Slovenia, etc.), as well as in the United States.

He was elected president of Positive Montenegro at the founding congress in 2012. That same year he became a MP. He is a member of the Committee on Security and Defense, the Committee on Anti-Corruption and the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants.

He speaks English.

He is married with three children.
