Prime minister of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic went to Iceland today, where he will have a meeting tomorrow with prime minister of Iceland Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson.
Besides meeting with the prime minister, he will laso have meetings with president and members of the Board for foreign affairs of Iceland.
Djukanovic will also, during his stay in Reykyavik, give a lecture at the University of Iceland with the topic “membership of Montenegro in NATO and stability of Western Balkans”, organized by the Institute for international relations.
The lecture will also be attended by the participants of the Summer school of small countries who are students from different universities all around the Europe.
“A visit to Iceland, the country which first recognized an independent and sovereign Montenegro and first ratified the Protocol for acsession of Montenegro to NATO is a new impuls for strengthening friendly relation between two countries, and a possibility for exchange of opinions and experiences for improvement of bilateral cooperation with mutual interest”, it was said from the Government.
