The president of Budva’s Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Srdja Popovic, announced that he would initiate the termination of the coalition with the Social Democratic Party (SDP) at the local level.
“As president of the Municipal Board, I plan to initiate discussion regarding the termination of the coalition,” Popovic said for daily ‘’Vijesti’’.
He explained that at the last sessions of the local parliament, the members of the SDP were using the opposition’s position as their own.
Board members of the SDP, as Popovic said, were determining their position in accordance with opposition, and not driven by the importance, significance and quality of decisions.
“This suggests that their primary interest is not functioning of coalition government in Budva, but the obstruction and finding the the alibi for their attitude,” Popovic concluded.
