Festival of Real Estate Investments, FREI 2016, will begin at the Maestral hotel in Milocer on Monday, 9 May.
FREI, which will last until 12 May, is a thematic, multidisciplinary event, problem focused on the development of real estate investments, particularly in the tourism sector, Mina Business news agency carried.
“The target group consists of investors and commercial companies in the real estate sector, as well as representatives of state and public administration, international institutions and experts”, the organisers said in a statement.
The festival is held under the patronage of PM Milo Djukanovic in partnership with the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism.
The opening address on the topic Homogenisation of Development Factors in the Tourism Sector will be held by the minister of sustainable development and tourism, Branimir Gvozdenovic.
Hungarian Ambassador Krisztian Posa and Ioannis Markogiannis, a representative of the Adriatic Properties company, which is the general sponsor of FREI 2016, participate in the opening session.
Presentations will be held by a representative of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Armando Peres, Ben Martin from AECOM Economics and Dejan Ljevnaic from Ski Resorts of Serbia.
Central topics of discussion sessions within the FREI 2016 programme are the characteristics of the investment climate in Montenegro, significance of architectural competitions for quality of space and destination management: events as a tourism product.
“There is also particular interest in the final debate on sustainable strategic planning through the spatial plan for the coastal area”, the organisers said.
Key investors and hoteliers in Montenegro, such as the Adriatic Properties, Portonovi, Montrose-Northstar, Porto Montenegro, Lustica Development and Budvanska Rivijera hotel group, will be presented to the participants of the event.
Design companies Studio Grad, the Centre for Architecture and Spatial Planning, consulting companies Horwath HTL, Dream Estates Montenegro, MACE and RLC Montenegro, as well as the relevant state authorities Public Works Directorate, the Secretariat for Development Projects, the National Tourism Organisation, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency, Centre for Ecotoxicological Research, as well as infrastructure companies the Post of Montenegro, the Montenegrin Power Transmission System (CGES), Montenegro Coast Regional Water Supply System, National Parks of Montenegro and the Agency for Coastal Zone Management will also be presented.
Coastal municipalities of Herceg Novi, Bar and Tivat will also present their plans and development visions at the festival.
In cooperation with the organisers, CGES will provide free visit to the event for 100 students of architecture, construction and other related faculties”, the statement said.
Organisers of FREI 2016 expect more than 300 participants from the region.
