The relationship between Montenegro and Azerbaijan is based on the quality results of bilateral cooperation and the willingness of both countries to further enhance relations, assessed the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro Dusko Markovic and President of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan Ramiz Rzayev.
As it was announced from the Government, Markovic informed Rzayev on the process of Montenegro’s accession to NATO and the EU.
“Marković gave special attention to judicial reform, rule of law, as well as the importance of adopting and implementing EU standards. Noting the results that Montenegro has achieved in all important areas, both in the field of internal as well as foreign policy, the readiness was expressed for the promotion of partnership in all fields,” the statement said.
It was added from the Government that Rzayev pointed to the closeness of judicial systems as well as the importance of respecting European standards. He congratulated Montenegro on joining NATO.
The meeting was attended by the President of the Supreme Court of Montenegro Vesna Medenica.
