Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic said that establishing close political relations and cooperation in such a short time as has been the case between Montenegro and Azerbaijan, was a rarity.
As a reminder, Djukanovic began a visit to Azerbaijan with the meeting with the President of the country Ilham Aliyev.
The Prime Minister thanked President Aliyev and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the invitation and hospitality.
“There are reasons for satisfaction and there are not many examples of such close political relations and complex cooperation in many areas established in a short time”, said Prime Minister Djukanovic.
President Aliyev also expressed his satisfaction with the development of friendly relations and frequency of meetings at all levels, with the belief that such dynamics of cooperation and contacts between the two countries will continue both in the political and in the economic sphere.
“We have built a mutual trust and we develop our relations as partners. There are real opportunities to continue our cooperation through the implementation of projects in the field of energy, tourism and strengthening the relationship between our business structures in various fields”, Aliyev said.
The two officials also talked about the dynamics of the development of initiated projects and possible further concretization of cooperation, notably in energy, transport infrastructure and tourism, which will be supplemented by formation of a joint Operational Team, headed by the Chairman of the Intergovernmental Economic Commission, to be responsible for the implementation of projects.
The talks were attended by Minister of Economy Vladimir Kavaric, chairman of the Intergovernmental Economic Commission and the Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Branimir Gvozdenovic.
