Guests from 10 countries coming: Carnival of open heart on 6th, 7th and 8th of May in Budva

During the “Carnival of open heart” on 6th, 7th and 8th of May more than a thousand participants from Montenegrin cities and more than 10 European countries will walk around the streets of Budva, it was announced today from Touristic organization of municipality of Budva.

TO Budva and NGO “Festadjuni” will be organizers of the XIV International touristic carnival in Budva.

Assistant director of the Touristic organization of Budva Aleksandar Armenko said that they expect many guests from the region and all over the Europe which will carry nice memories from Budva and get to know Montenegrin tradition.

Manager for the manifestations in TO Budva Maja Raskovic spoke about the program of the festival, and she emphasized that it is extremely important that in the grand procession there will be 15 groups from Budva.

President of the NGO “Festadjuni”, which is the founder of the Carnival, Marija Pjerotic emphasized the importance of the Budvan Abrum (a call for the festival) during the first they of the carnival festivities, when all of the local people join together to greet Carnival participants and their guests, which led by the ‘Capo’ of the Carnival invite everyone to the festivities.

“This year our guests will be groups from Italy, Bolivia, Austria, Malaysia, Albania, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, groups from Kotor, Tivat, herceg Novi, Podgorica, Tuzi and more than ten group masks from Budva”, said Pjerotic.

An anthem of the Budva Carnival was presented today which was composed by the famous musician Dragoljub Djuricic, and its broadcasting and joyful carnival participants drew attention of foreign guests that were walking the Old city.
