Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson thanked the Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic on the words of congratulation on his recent appointment to this position. Among other things, Johnson points out that the United Kingdom will continue to support the reform efforts of Montenegro in order to promote stability in the region.
“I am delighted with the positive relations between our two countries and I wish to take this opportunity to reaffirm the UK’s commitment to building security and prosperity across Europe and with NATO allies. Montenegro’s progress towards NATO and EU accession is a clear demonstration of your commitment to this path. The UK looks forward to welcoming you as a full NATO member in the near future. Like my predecessor, I am strongly committed to UK-Montenegro relations. I look forward to working with you to strengthen these ties and to cooperate on the global issues facing both our countries today”, it was said in the letter.
