The trial for terrorism on the day of the parliamentary elections last year was interrupted and will continue tomorrow, as the defense lawyers requested the recusal of the president of the trial chamber, the Higher and Appellate Courts, Suzana Mugosa, Boris Savic and Musika Dujovic.
Namely, the defense attorney Nikola Bulatovic requested judge Mugosa recusal because of “violations of the right to defense of Andrija Mandic”.
At the same time, he asked for the recusal of the President of the Higher and Appellate Courts, Boris Savic and Musika Dujovic, who, as he claims, “is in friendly relations with Savic”.
According to the opinion of the chief prosecutor Milivoje Katnic, such a move by the defense obviously represents “delaying of the proceedings”.
Therefore, he asked the court to reject the motion, having in mind Mandic made the defense 15 days ago, and assessing there was enough time to apply for a recusal.
Judge Mugosa adjourned the hearing and ordered a new appointment for nine o’clock in the morning.
Earlier today, Judge Mugosa announced that the defendant Bratislav Dikic, after surgery at the Clinical Center of Montenegro, was capable of attending and participating in further proceedings.
Dikic’s attorney Goran Petronijevic requested a piece of material that was extracted at the KCCG, because, as he said, they suspected the results of the analysis read by Judge Mugosa.
They also requested possible new analysis at the MMA in Belgrade.
Special Prosecutor Milivoje Katnic asked the court to prevent the defense from delaying the process. He claims that lawyers are trying to prevent Sindjelic’s testimony.
