Works on the highway Podgorica – Cetinje – Budva are in the final stage, it was announced from the Ministry of Transport. They did not, however, specify an end date.
“Any constructive and well-intentioned criticism of the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs is welcome, otherwise everything is a waste of time and energy. Time and energy that the Ministry and the Government would rather focus on the implementation of specific projects which will mostly benefit first to our citizens, then guests who will visit Montenegro, and finally tourism workers (entrepreneurs) themselves, in a very concrete way,” said the Ministry.
They reminded of the work in the previous six months, stating that about 150,000 tons of asphalt was built. They said that over 300 million euros was spent for reconstruction, modernization and construction of state roads.
“It is surprising that the new Director of the Transport Directorate in his criticism releases untrue information that traffic at Obzovica remains suspended from 10 to 12, and at Brajici from 14 to 16 hours. If he does not trust his new associates he could at least get information from AMSCG where it is clear that there is no suspension of traffic as of 21 June,” the statement said.
