The citizens of Montenegro showed in October parliamentary elections their commitment to continue the Euro-Atlantic path which includes NATO membership, Minister of Defense and Vice President of the Croatian Government, Damir Krsticevic said.
In an interview for the RTCGportal, he said that there were no negative side of NATO membership, expressing the belief that Montenegro would soon be able to see that for itself.
“I firmly believe that the citizens of Montenegro will get a very clear confirmation of the full benefit of membership,” Krsticevic emphasises.
When it comes to the benefits of Croatian membership in NATO, Krsticevic said that his country’s membership in NATO had sent “a positive signal to foreign investors seeking security and stability.”
He stresses that Croatia ‘indirectly increased its attractiveness as investment destination “.
Commenting on the Russian opposition to Montenegrin membership in NATO, Krsticevic pointed out that Croatia respects the autonomy of each MemberState to choose its own allies.
