PODGORICA – Montenegro did not support the Resolution against glorification of Nazism and racism submitted to the UN by Russia, because countries of the European Union voted against it.
This was said to “Vijesti” at the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The UN General Assembly on November 21 adopted Resolution calling for the fight against Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to the triggering of contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.
“Montenegro, as a candidate for EU membership lined with with the position of the EU,” the daily was told by the Ministry.
Russia’s document was supported only by Serbia when it comes to the countries in the region, while other countries abstained.
