President convenes meeting of Security Council; London court suspends international arbitration over KAP; Montenegro and Serbia to strengthen infrastructure cooperation.

The President of the Council for Defence and Security and Montenegro’s president, Filip Vujanovic, has an obligation under the rules of procedure to convene a session of that body if one of its members requires it, the speakt of the parliament Ranko Krivokapic said. Krivokapic previously asked Vujanovic to convene a meeting of the Council to discuss the withdrawal of Boro Vucinic from the position of a head of the National Security Agency, the request which Vujanovic reportedly refused.

Based on the orders of the High Court of Justice in London, proceedings before international arbitration initiated against the aluminum plant KAP has been automatically suspended. KAP menagment was sued by Austrian VTB Bank, seeking 25 million eura. The court order includes automatic suspension of initiated proceedings or resumption of all individual civil proceedings brought against the KAP, including arbitration proceedings, bankruptcy trustee Veselin Perisic said.

Construction of the Bar – Boljare – Beograd highway is crucial for Montenegro’s overall development and its linking with the region and EU, said Montenegro’s Transport Minister Ivan Brajovic adding that the construction of its priority section Smokavac – Mateševo means the beginning of the implementation of the entire project. On the sidelines of the Belgrade’s 3rd meeting of heads of governments of China and Central and East Europe countries, Brajovic met with his Serbian counterpart Zorana Mihajlovic.
