The trial in ‘Informer’ case to begin soon; government will prevent abuse of social benefits; joining NATO is the best solution for small countries, NATO coordinator says.
Judge of the Podgorica Basic Court, Jelena Perovic, will judge in the case against editor-in-chief of the newspaper Informer, Novak Uskokovic. The Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment accusing the editor-in-chief of the Montenegrin editions of the Belgrade-based paper of the criminal offence of violating the reputation of minority people.for articles published in the tabloid, which causes religious and national hatred of the Albanian people.
Government will prevent every abuse of social benefits, regardless of politicking of those who will lose their right to such assistance, and who were receiving it without a single paper, said the Labour Minister Predrag Boskovic. He added that in the town of Rozaje people who are older than him were receiving a child allowance.
Collective security system is one of the best responses to contemporary challenges and the only way for small countries, said the national coordinator for NATO, Nebojsa Kaludjerovic, stating that neutrality is not subject for serious discussion. “NATO membership ensures a lasting peace to this region. A number of new threats increase range of dangers – no country can respond. Collective security system is one of the best responses to contemporary challenges,” Kaludjerovic said.
