Djukanovic to meet the US Vice-President Biden at the Munich security conference. NATO support can not be a requirement for the national unity government. Prices of fuel, alcohol, tobacco and coffee will be higher.
Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic will meet with the US Vice President Joseph Biden at the Munich security conference this week, in the context of formation of the US position regarding the invitation to Montenegro to join NATO by the end of 2015.
The agreement between the smaller ruling Social Democratic Party and the opposition on forming a transitional government should not be be restricted by the issue of NATO support nor by any topic that could bring new divisions in Montenegro, the party official, Dzavid Sabovic, said.
The Montenegrin Government plans to introduce a dedicated tax on the retail price of fuel in the amount of 0.5 cents per liter, with the aim of financing the cost of construction of priority sections of the highway Bar-Boljare. It is planned to increase the excise on alcohol, soft drinks and cigarettes.
