Montenegrin soldiers in the NATO peacekeeping mission “Resolute Support’ in Afghanistan will be paid 100 euros per day, the Ministry of Defence has decided. Montenegro has depoyed 20 soldiers in the new NATO non combat mission which started on January 1st.
By adopting the set of regulation aimed to encourage direct investments, Montenegro is set to offer some number financial incentives to foreign and domestic companies which intend to invest at least 500,000 euros and create at least 20 new jobs over a 3-year period. The regulations specifies that beneficiaries of the funds are required to maintain the level of investment and the same number of newly created jobs at least five years after the completion of the investment project.
Montenegro’s Programme of Economic Reforms 2015-2017 identified 18 priority measures aimed at supporting sectoral policies. Some of the measures include construction of the priority section of the Bar-Boljare highway, modernisation of the railway network, construction of the underwater energy cable between Montenegro and Italy, preparation for the Adriatic-Ionian highway construction.
