Montenegro has emerged from deflation, the Central Bank claims. The end of 2015 is the deadline to resolve cases of attacks on journalists. Montenegro to encourage rule of law reforms, an EU official says.
According to the data for November last year, the annual inflation rate in Montenegro is zero and the country has emerged from deflation, the Vice Governor of the Central Bank, Nikola Fabris said. He added that the key product groups which contributed to inflation were food products and transport, which was predominantly affected by oil prices.
The end of 2015 is a realistic deadline for addressing the most serious cases of attacks on journalists, the murder of editor Dusko Jovanovic, the attack on journalist Tufik Softic and the bombing of the independent daily Vijesti, said the head of the commission for monitoring the investigation into attacks on journalists, Nikola Markovic.
Montenegro needs to continue and further encourage reforms in the area of the rule of law, to turn formal measures into genuine change, the EU ambassador in Podgorica, Mitja Drobnic said.
