Ecology moves citizens from the coastal area, the survey shows. The government urged to stop a mass migration from the northern regions. Being a credible partner recommends Montenegro for NATO membership
North and central region of Montenegro are civil active mainly when it comes to social and political issues, while the the civic activism of residents of the coastal area is driven by environmental concerns, the survey said. The study of media content related to civic activism was conducted by the watchdog Civic Alliance from January 1 to March 31, and included daily newspapers Dan, Dnevne novine, Vijesti and Pobjeda.
State institutions should urgently react and do not ignore the problem of Montenegrins who migrated to Germany in recent months, an opposition MP Nebojsa Medojevic said. He argues that five to seven thousand Montenegrins are currently in the camps for asylum seekers in Germany.
Participating in international peacekeeping missions and operations, Montenegro proved itself to be a reliable and credible partner and a stability factor in the region. It certainly recommends Montenegro to be the next NATO member state, the Director General for Defence Policy, Ivan Masulovic, said at the semi-annual briefing for foreign defence attachés accredited in Montenegro held in the Defence Ministry on Tuesday.
