The opposition leader Miodrag Lekic leaves the Democratic Front. European Investment Bunk approves 70 million euro loan to support Montenegro’s small and medium-sized business. Montenegro and German Baden Württemberg region to boost economic cooperation.
The leader of the main opposition Democratic Front, Miodrag Lekic, informed the party’s presidency that he’s going to leave that political alliance. Reportedly, Lekic will form his own party soon.
European Investment Bank, EIB, has approved a loan arrangement amounting to 70 million euro to Montenegro’s Investment and Development Fund, the fund’s director Zoran Vukcevic told the press following the cabinet meeting. The loan is aimed at supporting small and medium-sized business, improving the overall business infrastructure and boosting projects in energy and environmental protection.
Montenegro’s PM Milo Djukanovic and President of Baden-Württemberg Winfried Kretschmann signed the agreement on strengthening of economic cooperation between Montenegro and that region in Germany. Kretschmann commended Montenegro’s progress towards the European accession, saying that his country strongly supports Montenegro in pursuing that important strategic goal.
