Kumanovo violence raises concern in Montenegro. Pro-Serbian parties welcome the rehabilitation of Draza Mihailovic. Slovenian FM promotes NATO Invitation to Montenegro.
The virus of terrorism may be transferred to Montenegro and the violence in Zvornik and Kumanovo can have an impact on Montenegrin national security, the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Security and Defence, Mevludin Nuhodzic said.
The main pro-Serbian party in Montenegro’s parliamen, NOVA, welcomed the decision of the High Court in Belgrade to rehabilitate Chetnik leader Dragoljub Mihailovic, stating that the verdict would help dealing with the past. The party’s leader Andrija Mandic said that Montenegro was the only country of the former Communist bloc that did not condemn the crimes committed after World War II.
Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec said that NATO should invite Montenegro to become a member of the alliance by the end of the year, as he attended a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Antalya, Turkey.
