Winter tires only on the ice and snow. President of Montenegro claims that Mufti Zukorlic can not operate in Montenegro. NATO is our national interest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says.

The Ministry of Interior has prepared amendments to the Law on road safety to regulate the use of winter equipment on the vehicles. The essence of the modification is that winter tires could be mandatory only in certain weather conditions, when it is very cold or when it snows.

Promoting true Islam, like every true religion is a major interest of Montenegro, said the President of Montenegro, Filip Vujanovic, adding that Sandzak’s Mufti Muamer Zukorlic can not “act in this area.” He said he respects everything the Islamic Community of Montenegro is doing in the country, it is dedicated to promotion of essential values of Islam.

Russia’s position in relation to the NATO is well known, but Montenegro has a clear foreign policy orientation in accordance with national interests, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, MFA, stated. The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, has warned that the expansion of NATO towards the former Yugoslav republics is irresponsible and that Moscow sees that as a provocation. MFA said that both Montenegro and Russia have the right to determine direction of their internal and foreign policy.
