Wages in the public sector will not be increased, the labour minister says. Extradition procedure for drug baron Safet Kalic has started. Recruiting fighters from the region for ISIS can create serious problems in the Balkans.

Wages in the public sector will not be increased by the end of the year, said the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Predrag Boskovic ,explaining that it was not budgeted for this year.

Montenegro’s Ministry of Justice sent the Austrian authorities a request for the extradition of Safet Kalic, who was arrested on Monday in Vienna. Kalic is suspected for money laundernig of 7.8 million euros which he earned by selling heroin.

Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Dusko Markovic told the Italian news agency Nova that recruitment of foreign fighters in the Islamic state could create serious problems for the Balkan region. “We know that some of our citizens have participated in several group operating in the Middle East conflict, but their number is still small,” the minister said.
