Montenegrin police arrested on Thursday a man, whose identitie has not been revealed, who allegedly robbed the political director of the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists Tarzan Milosevic. Police suspects that the arrested man stole two laptops and a bag of documents from Milosevic’s vehicles.
On the sidelines of the 65th Session of the Executive Committee of the UN High Commissioner’s Programme, Montenegro’s Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Predrag Boskovic met in Geneva with UNHCR’s Director of Bureau for Europe Vincent Cochetel and Director of the Division for International Protection Volker Turk. The meetings discussed the issues of integration of displaced persons in the Montenegrin society and their voluntary return, the regional housing programme, the opening of the Centre for Asylum Seekers in Podgorica and current status of displaced persons and refugees in Montenegro.
Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic congratulated Germany’s Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel on the Day of German Unity. “The committment of the German government to our region has been proven by the Conference on the Western Balkans which was recently held in Berlin under your auspices and which will galvanise a more dynamical movement of the Western Balkans towards our European goal and thus contribute to furhter fostering of the European unity and European values,“ Montenegro’s Prime Minister said.
