Non-governmental organizations Anima appeals to “end the war” in Montenegro. The opposition party Positive accuses its leader for cooperation with PM Milo Djukanovic. Montenegrin soldiers will continue its mission in Afghanistan.
Marking the World Day of Peace, NGO Anima held a performance entitled “You remember, you ask, you upseting” at the central square in the capital Podgorica on Sunday. With this action, which is part of an international campaign, Anima has expressed solidarity with the victims of the conflict and warned of the importance of building real peace.
The members of the Presidency of opposition Positive parties have accused its leader Darko Pajovic “for rift in the party”. Eight members of the party’s leadership said that “with manipulation” sabotaged the unique will of the voters to sign an agreement with the opposition.
Defence Minister Milica Pejanović Djurisic said that the participation of Montenegrin soldiers in the international community’s efforts to establish and maintain peace at the global level shows that the government is determined to actively participate in the collective security system. ‘In that sense, we are ready to comply with our strategic priorities and operational capacities and continue our engagement in Afghanistan,” Pejanovic Djurisic said.
