Montenegro visited by 120.000 tourists in four months

According to the data of the Statistical Office of Montenegro, our country was visited by 119.910 tourists in the first four months of this year.

Most guests arrived from Russia, Serbia, Bosnia and Albania, reports Anadolu Agency.

Montenegro is this year ready to welcome guests from the region, Europe and the world, inviting visitors to enjoy not just the beautiful 293 kilometers of beaches on the Adriatic coast, but also to discover the priceless natural beauty of the north of the country.

Montenegro was last year visited by a million and 700 thousand tourists, while turnover from tourism in 2015 amounted to around 800 million euros, making 2015 the best-ever tourist season in Montenegro.

Tourists mostly visit the Montenegrin coast, where in addition to beautiful beaches, they marvel at the old town of Kotor, Budva, Ulcinj, Bar and Herceg Novi.

One of the tourist agencies reports that tourists who visited Montenegro in the last two years mostly had complaints regarding cleanliness of the beaches and user-friendliness of roads, while most like the natural beauty of the country and the hospitality of the local population. The data show that summer tourists in Montenegro usually stay for four to seven days.
