Expectations that Montenegro will receive an invitation to join NATO by the end of the year are realistic, Prime Ministers of Montenegro and Slovenia, Milo Djukanovic and Miro Cerar assessed.
The two of them, as announced by the Government, discussed yesterday at a working dinner in Milocer, and expressed satisfaction with the development bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and exchanged opinions on the developments in the region ahead of the Vienna summit of Western Balkan countries.
“In particular, they discussed the progress of Montenegro in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, with the conclusion that there are realistic expectations that our country until the end of the year will receive an invitation for membership in NATO,” it is said in the statement said.
Djukanovic thanked Slovenia for its continued support in achieving strategic integration goals, as well as for development aid which is mainly focused on the implementation of projects in Zabljak.
Cerar is going to visit Durmitor area today.
