Based on the current, available information, there are no killed or injured Montenegrin citizens in yesterday’s attack in the southern French city of Nice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFA) announced.
They stressed that the Embassy of Montenegro in France is in constant contact with the French authorities.
At least 84 people were killed after a lorry, driven by a Frenchman born in Tunisia, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouh, slammed through a crowd celebrating Bastille Day. The driver ploughed on for 2km (1.2 miles) on the Promenade des Anglais at about 23:00 local time, before being shot dead by police. Mayor Christian Estrosi said it was the worst tragedy in the history of the city.
The French Government confirmed that it was a terrorist attack.
