Interior Minister Goran Danilovic dropped his intention to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the police director Slavko Stojanovic. Danilovic will require dismissals among police officials because of the murder of convict Dalibor Djuric that occurred in the Institute for the Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions (ZIKS) yesterday.
“I will require dismissals of certain managers in the police because I believe that it is the only normal move. Currently, safety is at the lowest level in recent years”, said Danilovic.
He says that the motive for requiring dismissals is not personal.
“This is about pure professionalism. We allowed criminals to decide above us”, said Danilovic.
He said that he would seek the dismissals in the police when PM Milo Djukanovic returned from New York.
