President of Montenegrin Parliament, Darko Pajovic, is staying in Tbilisi, at the annual session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE. At a meeting with his Georgian counterpart, David Usupashvili, Pajovic said that membership in NATO has no alternative, adding that despite all the obstacles, we will not give up that path.
Pajovic added he believes that Montenegro’s accession to the Alliance will be a clear message to the Western Balkans that NATO’s doors remain open to all.
“Membership in NATO and the EU has no alternative for both countries. It is determined path and and Montenegro and Georgia will not give it up. Our place is in the West with the Western values to which we strive. With all the obstacles that have state of Montenegro, and you here, I want to give a strong message that there is no giving up,” Pajovic said.
Usupashvili congratulated Montenegro on invitation for membership in NATO and said that Georgia supports the foreign policy goals of our country.
