The speaker of parliament of Montenegro Darko Pajovic met the president of the Municipality of Pljevlja Mirko Djacic in the premises of the Thermal Power Plant (TE) Pljevlja. Pajovic was clear – better days are for Pljevlja coming and the construction of the TE second block will provide the solution of the decade long problem in the municipality.
During today’s visit, Pajovic singled out three issues that are important to him.
“After this visit I’m even more convinced that Montenegro should remain the owner of the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG). I am also very glad because the state will construct TE second block, because I believe that the energy resources (that are the backbone not only of Montenegro, but also of each state in the world) need to be owned by the state, because in that way the country affirms its sovereignty and independence today”, Pajovic said.
He said that the fact consensus on the need to build more energy-efficient Montenegro was important. (A total of 47 PMs supported the Protocol on Cooperation between the Government of Montenegro and the Czech Republic, although 41 votes were enough to pass it.)
