Parliament speakers of Montenegro and Turkey stressed the importance of mutual cooperation

Within “Solidarity and Sovereignty” parliamentary meeting of Central and Eastern European countries launched in Warsaw, the speaker of Parliament of Montenegro Darko Pajovic met with his Turkish counterpart Ismail Karaman.

Pajovic’s office stated that the two officials had a comprehensive discussion on the multiple relations between the two countries and their institutions.

Pajovic thanked for the process of ratifying the protocol on Montenegro’s accession to NATO, which Turkey started on 9 August. Thus, the country once again confirmed a strong friendship with Montenegro and supported its foreign policy priorities, it was said in the statement.

Pajovic pointed out that Montenegro appreciated the current economic support from Turkey, emphasising the need for more intensive cooperation in this field.
